Judges Bio - Mia Övernäs

I have been involved with dogs in different ways my whole life as a kennelmaid, trainer,breeder,vet nurse and groomer. My first litter if poodles was born in 1993 and since then I have bread show,agility,tracking and obedience champions of all sizes of poodles and wire haired foxterriers.

I started my grooming career in 1990 and have groomed numerous of dogs of different breeds to their show titles,competed in grooming competitions all over Europe and runned several sucessful groomingshops in Sweden and now in Ireland. My main competition acchivement is being awarded Irish Groomer of the year in 2012 and 2013 , Best in SHow at ProGroom 2012 and placing 4th in the Oster European tournament of champions in 2005. My interest in teaching lead me to work as a teacher at an animal care college for some time and after that I started my own grooming school in 2007 .

I have also given seminars/talks/workshops on all grooming related subjects since 2005 -first in Sweden - but since 2011 also in Ireland and UK.
