Welcome to Madra-Mania 2020As we are reaching out to a global audience this year we must explain the significance of our event name “Madra-Mania” .
Let the lesson begin……”Madra” is the Irish word for dog, pronuonced maw-dra. That was easy! “Mania” is not an Irish word but it implies just a little bit of madness. We would all admit that some days, as a dog groomer, you really do question your sanity. So there you have it “Madra-Mania” is our annual “Dog-Mad” event, I think you’ll agree it’s just the perfect name. |

Madra-Mania is a weekend long event held in Dublin. It is Irelands largest dog grooming event exclusively for the professional pet stylist. Our annual event brings together the largest array of trade stands catering for the pet professional and the largest gathering of Irish groomers from across the country, it is also the social event of our year.
We fill the two day event with a mix of informative and topical seminars as well as grooming demonstrations by world class groomers. Along side all of this there is also our two day Grooming Competition where ultimately the Irish Groomer of the Year will be crowned. This will be the first year since our humble championship beginnings in 1997 that an Irish Groomer of the year will not be awarded. From our first competition starting in a small room hired in the Irish Kennel Club building it is amazing to think that this year it is open to a global audience.
