Introducing Our Judges 

​Anita Bax's credentials are impeccable. She was born into the world of dogs as her father was an expert in terriers and she has inherited her talent for all things canine from him. She became a highly successful exhibitor of Fox Terriers, Whippets, GSD’s , Daxi’s, Labradors and Rough Collies. She has also shown Pugs and all sizes of poodles which she judges. Anita has bred Siamese Cats as well as Champion Toy & Standard Poodles. In more recent years Anita has owned Japanese Chins & Syhynx Cats.

Anita choose a career in dogs and left school to take a job with a kennels. Anita quickly developed her talent for grooming and is proud of the fact that she was taught to clip poodles by Slyvia Coupe ”she taught me that only perfection in Poodles is good enough”. Anita has won more grooming awards in UK and abroad than anyone else in Britain, winning British Groomer and International Groomer of the year , multiple gold medals among numerous other top awards. Anita won the first Oster International Champions  Challenge .Anita is an acclaimed international judge and was also a City and Guilds examiner. Together with Peter she ran Eurogroom the famous grooming competition for 25 years. Anita is a true artist when it comes to trimming dogs, she is also kind and humorous, characteristics which come across as she shares her wealth and knowledge with us all.

Peter Young has been heavily involved in the Pet Grooming Industry when asked how long the reply
came ..."it seems for a life time ! " Peter ran Peter's Posh Pets in an affluent area in  London for many years. During his grooming career Peter won 6 Gold medals for the UK on the international groom teams. When questioned about awards for competing as an individual the answer  is  little more vague -"a fair few for myself and quite a few Grooming Best in Show titles too" . Aswell as competing Peter has also judged at grooming competitions around the world. To add to his grooming accomplishments Peter is also a published author .  Peter is also well known in the dog show world. As a competitor showing he has  made up around 20 champions in Poodles , Min Pin's , Ibizan hound and has also had stud book numbers with several other breeds , Lhasa Apso , Shih Tzu, Griffon, Whippet , American Cockers.  As a judge Peter has awarded cc's in poodles ( all three sizes ) since the early 1980 . He awards cc's in Griffons and Lhasa Apso's and is also qualified for Tibetan Spaniels . He also has JDP for German Spitz and Shiba Anu's .Through his judging career Peter has judged many breeds in the utility and toy groupings, decided groups winners and best in shows placing. Peter he has the honour of judging Toy Poodles at Crufts in 2012 he also judged Miniatures at Crufts in 2016. Peter is booked to judge the Standard poodles at Crufts in 2019. Despite all his success's he is very willing to share his knowledge with all of us grass roots groomers . So do not be afraid to ask.
