We are currently looking for a pet groomer to join our team at Premier Pets – this is a great opportunity for a pet groomer to help promote and grow our existing grooming business. All grooming equipment will be provided by Premier Pets in our Grooming Room. You will also be required to do general administration tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:

Assist in managing bookings
Greeting and welcoming customers and pets
Washing and preparing the animals for grooming
Trimming and clipping to an excellent standard to meet the client’s requirements.
Provide clients with advice and assistance in meeting their pet’s needs.
The successful candidate will:

Have a grooming qualification
Have at least one years grooming experience
Have a love for animals of all shapes and sizes
Be enthusiastic and willing to learn
Have great people and animal skills

This may be written from an american groomers perspective but it applies the world over ...

(Yes, I took this picture as a funny for the owner but truth be told after 5 hours on this one dog, it portrayed exactly how I felt!)

Groomers, for the most part are animal lovers by nature. Animal lovers, by nature, are very compassionate, often soft hearted people. We often feel deeper and think deeper than the average person. Unfortunately, this puts us in a compromising position when it comes to business. Often times we are taken advantage of and under appreciated because of the way we are or because we are “just dog groomers! Playing with dogs all day. ”
