We are delighted with how things went for our Madra Mania flagship event this year . With the year thats in it, we went digital in conjunction with Whippet Media to bring you seminars competition classes across the world with Zoom. As with many business's and events in Covid times we have leaped out of our comfort zone into the new age dominated by Zoom & PJ's . Many thanks to Ryan & Nicole of Whippet Media who enabled this to happen. Covering the 4 corners of Ireland and from across the world Zoom is making it possible to easily reach out beyond our coastal boundaries We are delighted to welcome groomers from USA, Canada, Australia, Hungary, UK & Serbia 
    Madra Mania It’s almost that time of the year again when we all get together for the biggest Grooming event Ireland has to offer. We thought the biggest event of the year deserved it's own name, introducing Madra-mania. What to expect at Madra-mania? ❖ Largest Grooming Trade shopping event in Ireland ❖ Opportunity to attend industry based seminars ❖ Feast your eyes on World class grooming demonstrations ❖ Watch the best groomers in the country battle it out at the annual Irish Grooming Championships It's all happening on 14th & 15th of October at the usual venue, Roadstone Sports Club, Kingswood, Dublin 24. There's plenty of time now to grab your diary and scratch off those dates so you can attend Madra-mania!! Early Bird Tickets Book early and avail of an early bird priced Ticket €85 for the two-day pass or €55 for one day. This offer applies until midnight August 31st after which normal prices apply €70 for one day and €100 for two-day pass. These will be available on a first come first served basis. As the catchy adds say – when they're gone they're gone!! Competitions Change to Competition classes There has been an explosion of poodle entries in the scissor class in the last couple of years. In order to help the judges and to encourage entries from people without poodles, there is now an Open & Champion “Poodle” and “anything but poodle” class within the Scissors section. Winners of each class will go head to head for overall Scissors Class Winner. Check out www.ipdga.com/championships.html for further information The Clipped Class will follow the same format with the winners of the Clipped and Clipped Asian going up against each other to decide the overall Clipped Class Winner. Heiniger New to Grooming Class As the demand for places in this class also continues to grow there has also had to be some changes. This year the lucky groomers placed 1-6 will receive the Heiniger clippers as their prize. Each class entrant will receive an extra goodie bag. Mini Seminars Each day we will have mini seminars running on topics such as Insurance, Pensions, a Veterinary talk on Parasites, Health & Safety. Further details will be available as soon as we have the speakers and the time table sorted . Grooming Demonstrations Our guest judges will be demonstrating over the weekend also. The demonstrations will cover scissoring techniques and finishes, handstripping and salon styles. Two demonstrations will take place each day. Again the time table is being formulated and details will emerge closer to the time. Shopping 😁 Don't forget the range of stands and suppliers we will have in the one venue for you to peruse and purchase. Not forgetting to have a look in your show catalogue, there are Puppy Punts, €5 discount from any stand at Madra-mania, one for Saturday and one for Sunday. Bring your sharpening too, Frank Barry and John Leonard will be in attendance, better yet send on your sharpening ahead of time and collect it at the weekend Results of the classes over the weekend - Huge congratulations to everyone who competed
