Hello everyone , We are nearing the end of what has been a very busy year for some of our association committee members. As most of you may already know this is the first year we have hosted and had available City& Guilds exams, which consisted of 3 practicals, and a theory exam. I am one of the ones lucky ones who is able to breath a sigh of relief having passed everything …… whey hey!! Hindsight is a wonderful thing and another year we will run the practical exams at a different time rather then 3 weeks before Championships /seminar !! I personally felt that are Champs went off very well Our three main classes - Scissor, Clipped and Hand stripped were won by 3 people who hadn’t won classes before, it is great to see different faces winning and as for Groomer of the Year I was personally thrilled when my best buddy Karina of Woofters won, well done again girl !!! At our post Champ committee meeting we were tossing around the usual banter regarding how it all went etc. when we had the notion of what we can do to reduce the cost of attending these get togethers. This year the price was €65 for the 2 days -bearing in mind 2 years ago it was £30 per day, this has gone down. Below is a list of what it cost to run the seminar/champs weekend with one judge {sometimes we have 2 }:
We have decided to change the plan abit for a year and the review the situation to see what members think. Lunches will no longer be included in the price but will of course be still available to purchase as per normal. This means €20 will come off the seminar price for a 2 day event or €10 euro off a one day event when hosted in Roadstone social club. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas !!!
