Registrations open at midnight !

We are delighted to announce at midnight tonight registrations will open for this years event.
Many changes are being put in place to make this year our best ever with lots of demo's seminars, bigger trade area and of course the focal point our grooming competition.
This years annual Grooming Championships will be held on the 29th and 30th of October. We decided for this year only to move the date from our normal 2nd weekend in October to the bank holiday weekend as it's our 20th birthday. We were also planning a huge celebration on the Sunday night to celebrate our chairperson Mary Toland's retirement after 20 wonderful years of service to us. Unfortunately, Mary passed away suddenly in March this year so instead of celebrating her retirement, we will be remembering a beautiful life of a dear friend that we miss so so much.

Mary chose her "grooming gods" to come and judge this year, the wonderful Anita Bax and incomparable Peter Young and we are very honoured to have them over. 
 
In addition to our regular New To Grooming class, Novice, Scissor, Handstrip and Clipped classes, we have a Creative and Asian Styling class for the more artist groomers amongst us. We also have an International class as we love to see new faces from far and wide.
 
This year is promising to be our biggest and best championships yet and thanks to our wonderful sponsors Christies Direct, Mullinahone Co Op, Heineger, Aescalup, Power and Working Scissors and Royal Canin to name but a few.
 
You are warmly invited to join us for a delightful evening planned for October 30th. (We were clever we've given you all the Monday off to recover). The Four Star Louis Fitzgerald is our venue and it's only 5 minutes from Roadstone. The night is subsidised by The IPDGA to celebrate its 20 year anniversary and to ensure an affordable night for all.
It begins with a drinks reception, followed by a fabulous 4 course meal, fun, music, dancing and the presentation of the inaugural 'Spirit of Mary Toland award'. This event has been years in the planning and Mary was very much involved as it was to be her retirement bash. She wanted it to be above all things, a night of fun and we are not going to disappoint her. It will be a celebration of her life and she will be with us in spirit; she wouldn't miss it!!
Partners and Bff's are most welcome but restricted to one per person at the special subsidised price - extra ticket are of course available but at the regular price. The hotel is dog friendly to the IPDGA and have a decent rate on the night, well behaved dogs are welcome in rooms, but strictly not at the function. This will be a night not to be missed, a chance for us all to be glamorous and fabulous and above all 'Be Delighted'.Grooming Championship Competitors - On purchase of your tickets please follow the link to the competition entry form in your confirmation email to secure your place as places are limited.
